Nairobi’s positive cases on the rise

The Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Health, Dr. Rashid Aman today announced that 62 more positive cases have been recorded within the last 24 hours from a total of 2,293 samples tested bringing the number of infections in the country to 1,348.
From the positive cases, 59 are Kenyans with 3 being foreign nationals. In terms of gender, the CAS said 45 are male and 17 female with the age distributed between 6 years for youngest and 64 years for the oldest.
Nairobi is leading with positive cases with 23, Mombasa 16, Kwale 8, Kiambu 6, Kajiado 6 and Kitui 3.
In Nairobi, the cases are in Umoja with 6, Kibra 6, Eastleigh 3, Dagoretti North 2, Langata 2, Westlands 2 with Starehe and Embakasi each having 1 case.
In Mombasa, 9 of the cases are from Changamwe, Jomvu 3, Nyali 3 and Mvita 1. Kwale has 4 in Msambweni and 4 in Lunga Lunga.
In Kiambu, 5 of the cases are in Lari and 1 in Ruiru while Kajiado has 4 cases in Kajiado Central and 1 in Kajiado East. The cases in Kitui are from Miambani.
The health CAS also announced that 3 more patients have recovered and been discharged bringing the number of recoveries to 405.
