MOH launches Covid-19 WhatsApp Chat Bot as more cases recorded

28 more cases have been recorded today from a total of 841 samples tested in the last 24 hours, announced the Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS), Dr. Rashid Aman. The number of infections now stands at 700.

The cases are spread out in Mombasa with 10, 9 from kajiado, 7 from Nairobi and 2 from Wajir. The cases from Kajiado are all Kenyan truck drivers who were tested at Namanga border point. 5 other individuals from Tanzania had also tested positive and were referred back to Tanzania.

In Mombasa the cases are spread in  Mvita with 3, Changamwe, Kisauni and Nyali with 2 each and 1 from Likoni.In Nairobi, the cases are from Kenyatta National Hospital with 3, 2 from Embakasi East and 1 each from Kibra and Pumwani. The cases in Wajir are in  Eldas and  Tarbaj.

He also announced that the country has recorded 12  new discharges from hospital bringing  the number of recoveries to 251.

1 more patient died in Nairobi bringing the number of people who have succumbed to 33.

The Ministry of Health also today has launched a WhatsApp chat bot to help with dissemination of Covid-19 information to the public through the number 0110719719, announced the Health Chief Administrative Secretary, Dr. Rashid Aman.
