Kenya receives medical equipment from abroad

Health CS, Hon Mutahi Kagwe today announced that the country has been boosted in the fight against Corona virus by receiving a consignment of kits and protective gears from Chinese business man Jack Ma. He also disclosed that another shipment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from China, Germany and France through  the World Health Organization (WHO).

The CS announced that in the last 24 hours, 9 people have tested positive for the virus from a total of 803  samples tested, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 225. All 9 are Kenyans with none having a history of travel.

5 of the cases are from Nairobi and 4 from Mombasa with the age being between 9 and 69 years. 12 more people have recovered and been discharged bringing the total number of recoveries to 53.

1 person has succumbed to the disease bringing total number of deaths to 10.
