Kenya marks one month since first Corona virus case reported

Today marks 1 month since the Ministry of Health announced confirmation of the first recorded Corona virus in the country with schools and places of worship being closed down and movement being restricted, announced the Health CS, Hon Mutahi Kagwe.
Today,11 more cases out of 674 test samples have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, resulting in a total of 208 confirmed cases in the country. 6 of the cases are males and 5 females with age being between 1 year and 42 years.
The cases are distributed in Nairobi with 2, 1 from Machakos, 1 from Nakuru, 3 from Mombasa and 4 from Mandera.
15 more people have recovered within the same period bringing the number of recoveries to 40.
1 person has succumbed in Nairobi bringing the total number of deaths to 9.
