Highest number of recoveries recorded with 1,062 people discharged

Health Cabinet Secretary, Mutahi Kagwe has today announced the highest number of recoveries recorded in the country since the first case was recorded in the country in March. A total of 1,062 people have been discharged today raising recoveries to 12,961.
He also announced that 599 people have tested positive from a sample of 4,420 tested in the past 24 hours. This now brings the total number of infections in the country to 26,436. Out of today’s cases, 373 are males with 226 females aged between 1 year old and 82 years old.
The cases are distributed in Nairobi with 318, Kiambu 70,Nakuru 39, Machakos 38, Mombasa 28, Kajiado 26, Kericho 14, Isiolo 10, Kisii 9, Kakamega 6, Makueni 5, Kisumu 4, Kitui 4, Muranga 4,NArok 3, Nyandarua 3, Nyeri 3, Kilifi 3, Meru 2, Busia 2 with Siaya, Trans Nzoia, Wajir, Bomet, Garissa, Marsabit, Nandi and Nyamira each recording 1 case each.
The CS also reported taht 2 more people have died in the same period bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 420.
