Highest number of recovered Covid-19 patients recorded

The Ministry of Health, Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS), Dr. Rashid Aman announced that 32 people have been discharged from hospital today bringing the total number of recoveries to 239. This is the highest number of recoveries registered in the country since the first case was announced on 12 March, 2020.
He also said indicated that in the last 24 hours a total of 1,056 samples were tested from individuals in quarantine facilities and from those in the Government’s surveillance program. From the samples, he announced that there were 23 people who tested positive for Covid-19 disease. 22 of the new cases are Kenyans while 1 is Burundian. This brings the number of those who have tested positive for the virus to 672. Overall, 32,097 samples have been tested so far.
The new cases are distributed as follows; 4 in Nairobi, 12 in Mombasa, 6 in Mandera and 1 in Kajiado.
In Nairobi the 4 cases are from Umoja with 2, Komarock 1, and Pipeline 1. In Mombasa ;2 from Kisauni, 2 from Likoni and 8 from Mvita. In Mandera;3 from Mandera East and 1 each from Mandera north, Mandera West and Elwak. In Kajiado the case id from Saina Estate.
In terms of age the Health CAS announced that the range is from 1 year 9 months for the youngest and 80 years for the oldest. By gender, 13 are males while 1o are females.
He also announced that the country has lost 2 more patients from Mombasa bringing the number of deaths to 32.
