Highest number of deaths recorded today with 12 succumbing

The ministry has today announced the highest ever recorded deaths from Covid-19 with 12 people loosing their lives in the past 24 hours. Another 65 have also been discharged from hospital bringing number of recoveries to 2,946.

In the same period, 189 have tested positive for the virus from a sample of 1,205 tested bringing to 10,294 total infections in the country. males are 106 and  females 83 all aged between 5 years old and 71 years old.

County distribution is; Nairobi 147, Kiambu 20, Machakos 11, Kajiado 5, Mombasa 2 while Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Laikipia and Kericho recording 1 case each.

In Nairobi,Dagoretti North has 77, Embakasi East 10, Makadara 10, Embakasi South 9, Kibra 9, Embakasi West 6, Langata 4, Kamukunji 2, Kasarani 2 while Dagoretti South, Embakasi Central and Embakasi North have 1 case each. In Kiambu, 6 are from Kiambu Town with Kikuyu, Kabete, Kiambaa, Ruiru and Thika having 2 cases each.

In Machakos, 7 are from Athi River, 3 from Machakos Town and 1 from Masinga. In Kajiado, 4 are from Kajiado North and 1 from Kajiado East. The cases in Mombasa are from Kisauni and Nyali.
