Cases on the rise with 461 testing positive

The health CAS, Dr. Rashid Aman today has announced that 461 people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample of 4,261 tested in the last 24 hours. This now brings the number of infections to 11,252.

Kenyans make up 432 of the numbers and 29 are foreigners with 320 being males and 141 females. The gender distribution is between 1 year old for the youngest and 86 for the oldest.

Nairobi has 248 cases, Machakos 97, Kiambu 20, Kajiado 15, Migori 14, Busia 12, Nakuru 11, Laikipia 7, Nyeri 7, Kiifi 6, Lamu 4, Uasin Gishu 4, Kakamega 3, Kisii 3, Kisumu 2, Makueni 2 with Mombasa, Taita and Bomet having 1 each.

He also reported that 51 people have been discharged from various hospitals bringing recoveries to  3,068 with 7 people succumbing to the disease taking number of deaths in the country to 209.
