The number of Covid-19 infections rise to 7,188 after 247 people tested positive for the virus from a sample of 4,147 tested in the past 24 hours. From today’s numbers, 242 are Kenyans while 5 are foreigners all aged between 1 year old and 100 years old. 164 are males and 83 females.

Nairobi makes up 153 of the number, Mombasa 35, Kajiado 15, Busia 12, Kiambu 12, Uasin Gishu 4, Machakos 4, Muranga 2, Nakuru 2, Siaya 2, Lamu 1 and Nyamira 1.

In Nairobi, 35 are from Kibra, Westlands 28, Dagorettin North 16, Kasarani 13, Embakasi East 12, Starehe 10, Langata 8, Makadara 6, Embakasi South 5, Embakasi South 5, Embakasi West 4, Kamukunji 4, Roysambu 4, Dagoretti South 3, Ruaraka 3 and Embakasi Central 2. In Mombasa, 17 are from Mvita, 6 from Likoni, 4 from Changamwe, 3 from Kisauni, 3 from Jomvu and 2 from Nyali.

In Kajiado, Kajiado East has 10, Kajiado North 4 and Kajiado Central 1. In Busia, 8 are from Teso South, 2 from Teso North and 1 from Matayos. In Kimau, Kiambaa has 6, Ruiru 3, Thika 2 and Kikuyu 1. In Uasin Gishu 2 are from Ainabkoi, 1 from Kapseret and 1 from Turbo. In Machakos all cases are from Athi River while in Harissa 2 are fom Daadab and 2 from Garissa Township. In muranga, the cases are in Kiharu and Maragua, Nakuru’s cases are in Nakuru West, Siaya’s cases are in Alego Usonga, Lamu’s case is fromLamu West and Nyamira’s case is from Nyamira Town.

A reported 39 people have been discharged from various hospitals bringing recoveries up to 2,148 while 2 more deaths were recorded taking fatalities to 154.
