2,004 persons monitored so far with 7 more testing positive

The Health Chief Administrative Secretary, Dr. Mercy Mwangangi today announced 7 more infections have been confirmed within the last 24 hours from a total of 305 samples tested. The total number of positive cases now stand at 179.
All 7 are Kenyans with 5 from Nairobi and 1 each from Uasin Gishu and Mombasa. 2 of the cases originated from the mandatory quarantine facilities while 5 were picked up by the surveillance teams.
She also announced that contact tracing of the 7 cases has began with a total of 2,004 people having been monitored to date out of which 1,426 have been discharged and 578 are being followed up.
