CS announces 761 more positive cases

Health CS, Mutahi Kagwe has today announced that 761 people have tested positive for Corona Virus in the last 24 hours from a sample of 4,830 tested. This now brings the to 52,612 the number of confirmed cases in the country. From today’s cases, 711 are Kenyans and 50 foreigners with the gender distribution being 503 for males and 258 females. The age distribution is between 1 year old and 92 years old.

The counties affected are; Nairobi 395, Uasin Gishu 103, Mombasa 55, Kiambu 44, Kilifi 30, Busia 21, Migori 14, Nakuru 12, Trans Nzoia 12, Machakos 12, Embu 11, Kajiado 11, Kirinyaga 8, Homabay 6, Kwale 5, Nyandarua 3, Nyeri 3, Vihiga 3, West Pokot 2, Meru 2, Tharaka Nithi 2 and Kakamega, Wajir, Siaya, Murang’a, Nandi, Taita Taveta and Lamu recording 1 case each.

He also reported that 346 people have recovered from the disease, 223 being from home based care and 123 having been discharged from various hospitals. Recoveries now stand at 35,604.
