Today 176 cases have been confirmed from 2,419 samples tested in the last 24 hours bringing the number of infections in the country to 6,366.

All the cases are Kenyans with 100 being males and 76 females and the age distribution being 3 years for the youngest and 78 years for the old.

The cases are distributed in Nairobi with 99, Mombasa 20, Kiambu 17, Migori 13, Uasin Gishu 10, Kajiado 4, Busia 4, Kilifi 3, Makueni 2 with Machakos, Narok, Kisumu and Kakamega recording 1 case each.

In Nairobi, Dagoretti North has 24, Starehe 16, Westlands 15, Embakasi East  13, Kibra 7, Makadara 5, Kasarani 4, Langata 3, Emabakasi Central 2 with Dagoretti North, Embakasi South, Mathare and Roysambu each recording 1 case each. In Mombasa, 7 are from Mvita, Kisauni 5, Changamwe 5, Jomvu 2 and Likoni 1. In Kiambu, Kiambaa has 7, Kikuyu 5, Ruiru 3 with Juja and Thika 1 each.

In Migori, Kuria West  has 11 and Suna East 2. In Uasin Gishu, Ainabkoi has 7 and Turbo 3. In kajiado, 2 are from Kajiado East and 2 from kajiado North. In Busia, 2 are from Matayos and 2 from Teso North while in Kilifi, 2 are from Kilifi North and 1 from Magarini. In Makueni, the 2 are from Kibwezi West, the case in Machakos is from Athi River, Narok’s case is from Narok West, Kisumu’s case is from Kisumu Central and the case from Kakamega is from Malava.

The CAS also announced that 26 people have been discharged from various hospitals bringing recoveries up to 2,039 while 4 more people have died bringing fatalities to 148.
